Hifiberry DAC+ with Pi3 and PCP 8.2 Choppy FLAC playback

I have this set together with LMS and having issues when playing FLAC files, no problem when playing mp3. FLAC are 16bits and 44.1 kHz so it shouldn't be a problem right? Any ideas? Is it a problem of the pi?

  Should be no problem. Do you use WiFi? What distribution is running on your Pi?

  Thanks, I am using PiCorePlayer 8.2.0 and yes, I am using WiFi on this player. Thanks again!

  sounds is choppy, is like stoping and playing rapidly

  First I would recommend to use Ethernet and check if this improves it.

  I am afraid that Ethernet is not an option as the player is far away from any ethernet and attached to a sound system that can be moved. Would Hifyberry OS improve the performance? I understand that it is compatible with LMS, right?

  Yes, you can try HiFiBerryOS. WiFi performance will probably not be better than with other distributions. I can't say if your problem come from WiFi issues or if there is another cause for this. But WiFi is often causing troubles.
