Airplay 2 at 24/192 possibilities

Hello HifiBerry Team! Is it possible to implement an up sampling option to 24/192 in the HifiBerry OS to match the specs of your own HATs. For example Moode Audio OS has an opinion to upsample/interpolate Apple airplay 2 to a higher bit rate 32 bit/ something crazy. But it sound’s amazing. Currently I believe sharesync/ airplay downsamples everything to red book audio no matter what sample rate is playing. Are there any development limitations to in in HFB OS to tweak airplay options? Airplay - also v2 is limited to 48kHz. Shareplay doesn't downsample this, that's the process sending music over Airplay.
We don't offer any upsampling in HiFiBerryOS. Upsampling can't create new details ad I can't see why an upsampled stream should sound better.
We believe that the best way to play an audio stream is to pass it to the DAC without changing it's sample rate. Therefore, there are no upsampling/downsampling capabilities in HiFIBerryOS (we had this a very long time ago, but decide to remove it at some point).

The only boards that do up/downsampling are our DSP boards. That's due to the nature of a DSP that it has to run at a specific sample rates. Also, the sample rate converters are part of the hardware. Their performance is very good and should not impact audible performance.
