HIFIBERRY DAC+ STANDARD – RCA VERSION as a USB sound card?

Hi All

I have a HIFIBERRY DAC+ Standard – RCA Version and a Raspberry Pi 400 unit. I would like to use the DAC+ as a USB soundcard but i'd rather not use the GPIO connector and a ribbon cable to connect it as this would look a bit rubbish on my work desk. Is there a way of using the Ras Pi 400 USB 3.0 ports to output the sound to the HiFi Berry DAC+, I can then output the signal to my little Fosi Audio amplifier which will in turn feed my office speakers.

I only ask as I'd rathe ruse the hardware I already have instead of paying for more widgets and gadgets :-)

I guess the solution would be to solder a USB cable to the board, this would be the input, I can then just use the pre fitted RCA connectors for the Fosi Ausio amp.

Thanks in advance all, I'm sure it's a simple job but I'm not sure how to setup the DAC+ USB input etc.

:-)
