I've got a couple of DAC2 HDs connected to Pi4's with current HiFiBerryOS and streaming from Roon. One only plays sound on one channel, but the fault follows the Pi, not the DAC. Any ideas as to what fault with a Pi could cause this?

Both channels are transfered on the same hardware. This can't be a simple hardware problem. My best guess is a broken installation. If you switch SD cards, the problem will probably follow the SD card.
I'd tried this, but have tried again, and also burnt a new image. Still the same issue - from one particular Pi I only get sound from 1 channel. I've got a new Pi4 coming, will see what happens when I try that.
Hifiberry refuse to realize there is an issue with their driver, whenever you change volume via MPD (Roon) or even amixer it will set it only as a single channel, left to be exact

Finally managed to get hold of a new Pi, and with the new Pi I don't have an issue. Both channels are working fine. Switch back the old Pi (with the same SD card) and the problem comes back - sound only in one channel, trying to change volume really glitchy.
