I have Digi+ Pro and Digi2 Pro (rev 2.1) boards which I have been using with my Pi 3 board and Moode Audio with no problems. However, they have never worked satisfactorily with my Pi 4 (rev 1.2) boards. Specifically, they are not recognised when booting for the first time each day. If I reboot or shutdown and reboot a few minutes later they work fine. I have seen this problem documented by others on the Moode and Hifiberry forums but I cannot find the solution. The problem persists with all power supplies, including the official Pi power supplies, and the problem persists after reseating the boards or swapping Pi 4 boards for other boards. Please can you tell me if there is a solution to this problem yet, because it is very annoying and time consuming to reboot twice every time I want to start my hifi!

Baasheep I managed to borrow a digi2 pro (rev2.2) to try with my early (pre. Version 1.5) raspberry pi 4 boards, and they worked perfectly. I also tested a digi+ pro and digi2 pro (rev2.1) with a raspberry pi 3 board and they worked perfectly despite not booting with the pi 4 boards! All these tests were done with official raspberry pi power supplies. The clear conclusion is that the digi+ pro and digi2 pro (rev2.1) have never worked properly with raspberry pi 4 boards despite Hifiberry claims that the fault was due to changes in the raspberry pi 4 (version 1.5 board). Why were the digi2 pro (rev2.1) boards not recalled and replaced by hifiberry due to the design fault. It has wasted users many months trying to sort out unfixable problems!

Vladislav Simovic I can confirm what was written above. Digi2Pro works fine on Pi3, but Pi4 recognizes Digi only after 3-4 restarts. I have a little more luck if I use a mobile phone charger instead of the original power supply (sorry that is my situation).

HiFiBerry team @Baasheep There are lot of users that use the Digi2 Pro with the Pi4 and we can confirm that it does. The only known problem is with the 1.5 HW release. If you want us to check your specific Digi2 Pro, please contact us at support@hifiberry.com
@Vladislav: My guess is that your Pi is HW 1.5 which is not compatible with the older Digi2 Pro design. https://www.hifiberry.com/blog/digi2-pro-raspberry-pi-4-1-5-incompatibilities/ -
Baasheep I am afraid not, Raspberry Pi 4b HW 1.2 or 1.4 does not recognise digi2 pro rev.2.1 unless hot booted. As I said the fault was in the design of the Digi2 Pro NOT the Raspberry Pi. The Digi2 Pro rev.2.1 boards should be recalled.

Vladislav Simovic I have same combination.
Digi2 Pro rev.2.1 shows on board
cat /proc/device-tree/model
Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4
I don't know when the Digi card will be recognized, there is no precise rule.
Maybe it matters.
Hifiberryos, when it recognizes the card, identifies it as Digi+.
I have to add "-pro" at the end to config.txt -
