The OS is the most unstable I've used ever.
1. If power is cut, it will need to be reflashed
2. If I shut down and power off, it will need to be reflashed
3. If I manage it as best I can, it will randomly crash and I need to reflash
Is there something I can do to make it more stable?
My best guess is that you have either a problem with your SD card or the Pi.Could also be an unstable power supply.
The Pi should be fine. Maybe it's the card. I just hope it's not the software. I'm going to try a new card later today. Thanks for the thoughts. I'm also looking forward to trying the new release.

So many people are using Hifiberry, it is actually a bit strange to suggest the OS would be unstable. It could operate unstable in your particular setup however.
I've used 3 different cards. It will work well for days, even through unexpected power outages, and then sometimes it will be almost impossible to connect to. The new update helped a lot (20220726), but I updated from there to the latest and it got worse. I'm back on the older version and it's working better. I've had to re-etch yesterday and today.
I also noticed that if I'm connected to a BT device I can't connect to Hifiberry until I turn off BT device. This is a Spotify Connect issue I'm sure.
