Hello,
I plan to buy a bundle kit but I hesitate between AMP100 and Beocreate.
I'd like to know if the Beocreate amp can power 4 speakers (2*30w + 2*60), so 2 speakers for the right, and 2 for the left.
Is it possible and ok to do ?
Thank you,
Léo

HiFiBerry team I'm not sure why you want to use 2 speakers on each side. What exactly are you planning?

LaitEau I'd like to use 2 small speakers (30W * 2) and 2 medium speakers (60W * 2) to dispose them around my living room.

HiFiBerry team If these are 8 Ohm speakers, you can connect these in parallel. In general, I would not recommend to use multiple parallel speakers at different locations as there will be cancellation effects at some frequencies at some places in the room.
Therefore, the recommendation is to use only one pair of speaker. If you really want to do this, you could do it with the Beocreate 4-channel amplifier -
LaitEau Ok, thank you for your reply. I'll stick with the AMP100 then. :)

Slawek Kumka Question to HiFiberry team.
If you do not recommend using multiple parallel speakers at different locations as there will be cancellation effects at some frequencies at some places in the room, what is the idea behind having Beocreate 4-channel board with the possibility to use multiple parallel speakers?
Was space for 2 pairs of speakers for Beocreate a solution for other purpose? (if so - what it wouldbe?)
or your comment was only for AMP 100?

HiFiBerry team The comment was specifically about the Amp100 as you can't independently control the volume of speakers that are connected in parallel.
However, multiple speakers in the same room that run at together are still not something we would recommend.
