AMP2 vs AMP3

Has anyone done a direct comparison of the AMP2 vs AMP3?  The AMP2 is $20 more, but is the overall sound quality better for that difference?

  I only tested the AMP3 but had to send it back because of the whistle sound it makes that I was able to hear quite clearly when playing music at low volume level. I'm curious if the AMP2 has the same inconvenience.

  I have four AMP2s and all of them work great and are dead quiet.  I have not directly compared them to the AMP3 yet, mostly because it is a PITA to remove everything I have in  place and set up an A/B comparison.
