HiFiBerry team Very nice. The case is 3D printed? Do you mind sharing the files for other users?

Corentin Hello,
Your project is cool
I was just wondering about the behavior of hifiberry os with a 7.9 screen
I have my answer! :DIs your box 3D printed?
Why do you have a 220v input?
Is it for the screen? Thanks for your feedback

AnthonyLester Case is printed except for the top and bottom. The 110v is for the 19v power supply for the 4 channel beocreate amp.

Corentin Hi,
I ordered and received a Beocreate + Raspberry Pi 4 bundle + 20v/80w power supply.
I will now order a waveshare 7.9 screen.
I see that there are 2 versions: an HDMI and a DSI interface.
The DSI is a little more expensive and seems more suitable for raspberries.
Is it this? Is it better to take this DSI version?
I also wonder about power supply. Is the screen powered by the Raspberry?
And if so, will the 20v/80w power supply support powering the Beocreate, the raspberry and the 7.9 screen? Thanks again for your advice.
Best regards

AnthonyLester I did the hdmi version as the dsi wasn't available when I did my build. I do not know if the dsi version will work with hifiberry os. The display pulls power from the pi. The psu should provide enough power. I want to warn you it was a pain to get the display rotated using the hifiberry os. Hifiberry only officially supports the pi screen and will not provide any help or assistance with any display other than the official pi display. If you are open to it, volumio has far better support and customization. You can first install hifiberry os to configure the dsp then save the dsp to the beocreate. Then install volumio for the os. I actually keep an SD with hifi and one with volumio

Corentin Yes in your photos that's what seemed to me, that you had an HDMI model.
I'm going to ask question support about support for DSI vs HDMI. It will be interesting to know if there would be a difference.
I imagine that in terms of quality and resolution it will be the same thing? For rotation, do you remember how to do it on hifiberry?
On picoreplayer there is a tutorial allowing support for the 7.9 screen but I don't know if this tutorial is comparable to the manipulations you had to do?
https://docs.picoreplayer.org/projects/add-a-waveshare-7-9-inch/
Besides, in this tutorial I see that it is also an HDMI screen. For the choice of Volumio, in fact what interests me with the Beocreate card in addition to amplifier and DSP is also the digital input which allows me to connect my TV in addition to being able to broadcast my music library.
Hifiberry support confirmed to me that this digital input currently has priority at the software level.
So if music is broadcast via LMS and you turn on the TV, it is normally the TV sound that takes over.
Then it is also possible from the Hifiberry interface to choose the audio source
Is this also possible with Volumio? Is audio input supported and can it be selected?Thank you for your feedback

AnthonyLester For the functionality you want, you would need to use hifiberry. I will have to look for the method I used to rotate the screen.
