MPD won't start by itself/won't mount windows share

I'm running hifiberryOS 20220228. I've been struggling to get it functioning stably on a pi 3b with usb bluetooth and wifi adapters, an official 7" touch screen and the hifiberry dac2 HD. I determined that at least some of my problems were caused by an inadequate power supply so i got one of these Charger 5V 2A 2.5A 3A 3.5A for Raspberry Pi 3 2 B+ Power Supply Adapter Fast Micro USB Rapid Extra Long Cord UL Listed https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L88M8TE/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_GHS2QGCSF5RJHYFXATED?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 and that seems to have resolved my stability issues.

I haven't been able to get the MPD management interface in the HifiBerryOS working by itself.

I ended up manually editing the mpd.conf file, adding my windows file share to the /etc/fstab file and now I can get music to show up in HifiberryOS, but I still can't get it to start up automatically.

I have to run mount -a to get the share mounted, then start MPD, and then Hifiberry will show my music library.

Any help with getting this to operate automatically without needing to ssh into it each time I turn it on would be greatly appreciated.
