Need help to configure DAC+DSP with LMS WaveInput plugin

Hi,

I've bought a DAC + DSP Card in order to capture audio stream from my TV and stream it into my LMS network.

I'm using HifiBerryOS. I've found this documentation :

Is there the same doc for DAC + DSP card (Optical input)? 

When I do arecord -l I'v got nothing.

When I plug my TV into the DAC + DSP I can heat the sound when I connect a small powered speaker on the digital output of the DSP.

  It's a lot more complex that this. You also need to route the SPDIF input to the Pi:

  I would not recommend HiFiBerryOS at all for this. There is no support for this kind of configuration integarted in HiFiBerryOS. Even if you get it running, every start of another source would kill your process.

  Just after posting my question I've found this doc and I've tried it.

  I'v been able to record a wave sample from the TV, but the WaveInput plugin still don't work with

  • wavin:default
  • wavin:0
  • wavin:1
  • wavin:2
  • wavin:3

  Which os should I use ? WIth max2play distro they don't support DAC+DSP and told me to use something else ;-)

  As I don't have any experience with this combination and also the guide is quite old, I can't really help a lot. One thing that might be important: Make sure no process is using the card for sound output.

  As this is a very special setup, the best you can use is probably a plain Raspberry Pi OS Lite.
