change order of sound devices

Followed the setup guide on my raspberry pi 4/raspberry pi os and I see when I do aplay -l and have no sound:

Assume it's because hifiberry is on card2 and it's trying to play audio on HDMI. But I still want to have HDMI for when I play things on the TV. How do I reorder the cards?

You can't "re-order" these. If you want to use multiple sound interfaces you need to check how to configure your applications to use a specific sound card. This isn't always possible and there is no general way how to do this. You need to check the documentation of the applications you're using. Most have some way to configure the sound card to use.
