Digi2 Pro incompatibility with Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4

Hi,

I can't seem to get my Digi2 Pro to get properly recognized. aplay -l only shows "card 0  sndrpihifiberry [snd_rpi_hifiberry_dac], device 0: HifiBerry DAC HiFi".

However, when visiting the web interface and viewing the diagnostics, it does seem to recognize the Digi2 Pro, but mentions a "Problem with Digi2 Pro on Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4". This is no typo, I've read about the issues with Rev 1.5, but have not seen anyone mention 1.4 yet.

Changing the dtoverlay in /boot/config.txt to hifiberry-digi-pro just results in it rebooting twice and changing it back to hifiberry-dac.

Any help is much appreciated!

  This is probably some kind of hardware problem.  could be either a problem with the Digi2 Pro, the Pi or the power supply. You might try another Pi. What power supply are you using?

  Thank you for your reply. I thought I had tried it before and it did not work, but now I have the Digi2 Pro directly on the Pi instead of the relayed GPIO header of my Pi case again. Diagnostics don't report any issues anymore and aplay -l also shows

  as expected. Apologies for not mentioning the Pi case before.

  Nevertheless, I only hear white noise. For more context: The dtoverlay in /boot/config.txt is "hifiberry-digi-pro". I'm using the original Pi 4 power supply. I use a 3.5mm to cinch cable to connect the Digi2 Pro to my soundbar. Music plays perfectly fine when I have the cable connected to my phone.

  Your using the wrong card. Your sound bar has an anlog input. You need a DAC on the Pi to connect to the analog input. The Digi just outputs digital data that your sound bar can't use and therefore, you only hear some noise.
