Power Controller Beo4CA / DAC XLR + DSP - Volume Control with App

I installed the Power Controller on two setups, one with Beocreate 4CD and the other with DAC XLR + DSP.

Both work as explained.

However, I have the following Issues, when I change the volume on the controller, the volume is changed propperly.

When I change Volume in the App, it will not change (the dot jumps back to where it came from). In the log I see that the slider is moved

(moving slider - no effect)

but nothing happens.

If I disconnect the power controller and reboot, I can change from App again:

  I just wonder how you connected the power controller to the Beocreate. Did you solder cabled to the Pi?

  Soldered the cable on the bottom, PI is still interchangeable.

  I tested some more and found, that when the Power Controller is attached, also the api is not working, port 81, api/system/status api/player/status ... etc. If I remove the Controller, api is working after a reboot. This behavior is consistent.

  Looks to me like something in the code is blocking, as soon as the Power Controller Class is loaded.

  This is the same behavior on both boards, so given my understanding of the system more OS and code related than hardware. Hardware looks always working fine.

  Btw. I have updated Power Controller to V5 and run latest hifiberryOS "hifiberryos-20220228-pi4" Image.

  Hit for updating the Power Controller: On my Pi4 I had to use May 21 Image, could not flash with the latest.

  I just came to the community to see if anyone else was having this issue.

   

  When I start the app I can control the volume from the controller but not the application. I could not access any radio stations either, which is mainly how I use my device. I was able to access songs with a thumb drive inserted into the USB port. Additionally, when I pushed the Play/Pause button in the browser, it just started the song over.

   

  I am currently using a R Pi 3 with the HiFiBerry DAC + ADC Pro, the AAMP60, and the power controller. I had been using version 20220228, but reverted to 20211105 (my previous version) and everything is working fine again. I've been using this device with the power controller with no trouble for many months with no previous issues.
