Hifiberry should look into selling a complete standalone product similar to Volumio Primo: With complete user experience out of the box without tinkering for a competitively priced at 399-499 USD. PS. I would love to see a good professionally looking, audio product instead of a diy. DIY may still be an option for those who love to do it. There is a place for a stand-alone ready to go streamer in todays digital audio market. PS: Send me one unit for free when you actually decide to do it…. Specs: Pi 4 with option of with 4 or 8 Gb of RAM + with option of Digi 2 Pro or DAC 2 HD + DSP add on board + Hifiberry OS + nice black or silver aluminum case + decent psu.

  Just a comment on this: "decent psu". The official Raspberry Pi power and the one in our shop are good PSUs. I wouldn't say this for many of the "audiophile" types that are big and expensive, but regularly don't perform well.

  Yes indeed, I love your OS and I think it's ready for non-DIY hardware!

  But then you need to buy the official licence for Spotify Connect, because Spotify compatibility is important for consumers today. I would buy it immediatly.

  HiFiBerry team what about a finished product like the one manufactured by your fellow citizens of Wattson Audio? It has a nice form, doesn't it?

  Sure, we could build another $2000+ closed-source streamer with limited capabilities. Not sure if this is what you are looking for.

  A few more remarks on this: If we ever come up with a "Non-DIY" device, it might not be based on the Raspberry Pi at all (due to licensing restrictions) and you won't be able to modify the software or run your own stuff on it, because that would be "DIY" again.
