Beocreate4ch ver 1.2 rotary KY-040. No function

I have added a KY40 rotary encoder on a Beocreate4 ch ver 1.2 on gpio pins: 7,9,11,13 and +3.3V on pin 17. And i have checked that rotary.py has the same original IO settings There is no visible or audio change when i turn the encoder. The music plays using spotify connect. Is there anything I can do to makes this work? What is the ecpected visual confirmation that it it works?
