Hi,
After updating to 20211105 Airplay won't start. The checkmark will be set, but when going back to "sources" Airplay wll move to "disabled sources".
when clicking "Airplay" again the "on" checkmark is gone.
Any ideas what could be wrong?

ps: sorry hifiberry team I placed this same question a couple of minutes ago as a request by mistake.
It might be a corrupted installation. Is this a fresh installation? In this case, you can try looking at the logs using
journalctl -f
(first start the command then click in the UI)
ok tnx it was NO FRESH installaton. Must have something to do with the update routine i guess.
With a fresh image Shairport Sync does run.
What I do not understand why my iphone 11 pro can see the airport device but won't connect (the same happend in the last version while my son's iphone 12 mini was able to connect, I did network conf resets and tried other suggestions - with no luck)
both iphones had the same ios version 15.2 when I tested this.
Anyway, I read somewhere HERE that since Airplay 2 implementation MacOS and IOS devices are not working anymore with shairport.sync.
But wouldn't be APPLE DEVICES the ones that shairport sync is designed for? I am a bit confused..

Only MacOS devices are affected by the Airplay 2 patch. Others SHOULD work. However, as Airplay isn't officially documented and supported, some IOS versions and/or device or specific environments might by problematic. Unfortunately There isn't really something we can do about it. You might try an older HiFiBerryOS release that uses an older shairport-sync.
