Hifiberry OS seems to randomly pause for seconds at a time. It doesn't seem consistent on what song it pauses on and when it happens.
This happens on two different devices with the same hardware. Music is playing from a NAS added via MPD in the settings.
Previously I ran Volumio on the same hardware and didn't have a similar issue.
OS Version: 20211105
Hardware: Raspberry Pi 3B / DAC+/Amp2
We haven't seen this here, but there may be another source that stops the stream. Make sure you disable all sources that you don't use.
At the time all I had enabled was Music, Radio, and Airplay. Turned off Airplay and the issue persists.
Is there any logs I can grab when it happens?
Not really. You might check the systemcontrol output using
journalctll -f
But I would not expect that you see something
A few things that I notice -
The Web UI seems to timeout if I try to reload the page while the music is paused
Running that command I get a lot of

The server has been running for weeks and there hasn't been any music added, could it be constantly rescanning my library and causing the server to go down for a few seconds, or is that expected behavior?

potentially a memory issue? Is the 1GB Raspberry Pi 3+ a little light for it?
Hard to say what's going on. Maybe your library isn't writable and the system tries to create the files over and over again. Rescanning might have an impact, but I can't say for sure.
