But what has been changed?

The output stage design has been improved for better signal quality on the RCA output.

Does the improvement of the output stage also affect signal quality on DIY soldered BNC jack (if BNC jack is soldered on new Digi2 Pro)?

  BNC is simply connected in parallel to the SPDIF. Signal quality has been improved by an updated output stage design.We don't comment on details of the circuit.
