Amp100, pi 4

I have an FM tuner that I would like to connect up to the amp100/pi4 configuration. But I'm not sure on the way to do that. the notes on the amp 100 states that data can only come from the pi4 into the amp100 directly. But the DSP card will allow input of the connections on the amp100. But the issues seems to be that one needs to write a script to have that function. that is to go directly from the inputs thru the dsp/amp100. Is there any problems with bringing the data from the tuner (via A/D card) into pi itself. note - its a 3way system so the quad amp they suggest doesnt work for me.
