DAC plus stopped working with steel case

Hi,

I have a DAC+ for few years. I use the steel case (https://www.hifiberry.com/shop/cases/steel-case-for-hifiberry-dac-pi-4-2/), and since few days, DAC+ connection is frequently lost, it now stopped working when I use the steel case (ne sound, green led off).

I tried without the case and then it works fine.

What could it be ? Spacers too short ? Electric current that pass through the case ?

How can I solve this ?

  My best guess it that it's not plugged in correctly. It has to snap in well. Try removing/adding the top cover again.

  removing/adding the top cover did not work.

  I added washers between the case and the spacers to gain 1mm. It seems to work that way since few hours.
