There is some problem with AirPlay support on Hifiberry OS after iOS 15.1 / macOS 12 upgrade.
Device is connected but it's silent and I see error in macOS console:
AirPlayXPCHelper APSEventRecorderRecordEventWithFlags:507: false condition
It looks like a first handshake problem. When first device is a Apple device and you adding a Hifiberry to connection everything works fine.
Previous version of Hifiberry OS (20210531) with old version od shairport-sync (3.3.6d10) works fine.
So it looks like AirPlay 2 implementation problem.
I am having this same issue. The workaround is to use BlueTooth but I prefer AirPlay for a bunch of reasons.
I was trying to debug this and I can't see how to enable any logging on my hifiberryos. Is there a way to do it that I'm missing?
I can't use Airplay from my Mac (12.0.1). iOS does work.

Airplay was updated in the latest version 2021/11 version, make sure you use this.
