Hi, Im trying to install some package within HifiberryOS but seems dpkg is missing?? I log in via putti with root/hifiberry
and
The hyperion.deb package is within my home folder
but
sudo dpkg -i /home/Hyperion-2.0.0-alpha.9-Linux-armv7l.deb
returns dpkg command not found
Im using Beocreate amp with rpi4

That's normal. HiFiFBerryOS has no package manager. It is not designed to add software by the user.
Thanks for the response. Is there anyway I can install other sevices on HifiberryOS? It doesnt make sense(and complicate things) for me to run a separate Pi just for that tiny little service.
Will you consider in the upcoming releases to give us user a choice to use slimline images or to install packages as our own risk?
The only way to add additional software is docker:

No as it simply doesn't make sense. All your software would be gone after every upgrade. If you want to install your own software, a distribution like Raspberry Pi OS makes more sense. HiFiBerryOS was not designed as a general purpose system, but as a music player distribution.
