At 12V, the Amp100 won't run at full power. It won't be more powerful than the Amp2 when using it with 12V. We recommend 24V for the Amp100 with at least 6, better 8A.
Thanks - I am currently running with 18v/3.5A, but your data sheet displays a range of 12V - 30V. Is this incorrect?
Yes, that's correct. You CAN run it with 12V, but the output power will be limited.
What would the best amperage be at 12V? Thank you. (We are exploring multiple options, and I want to have the full range of information.)
At 12V, 4A should be enough
Thank you.
Hi, and thank you. Just confirming that, regardless of voltage, the amperage can range from 4A-8A without there causing an electrical issue with the board. (I understand that 24V/8A is optimal, and that 12V/4A is suboptimal, but I am woking with a team and want to provide thorough & accurate information. Thank you.)
There never can't be too much amperage on a power supply. This only defines what the maximum is that the power supply can deliver. Usually it will be less, the system just consumes as much power as needed. However, if the power supply can't supply enough, that's a problem and the system will run unstable.
Got it, thanks. Apologies to have so many questions, and I appreciate your swift responses.
