airplay 2 has been added in mikebrady airplay repo.

Will hifiberry also update so we can choose to enable airplay 2 ?

  At some point: yes. However, the current implementation has some serious drawbacks (e.g. does not support cover art), therefore I won't speculate when this might be included.
