HiFiBerry DAC+ Zero Input?

HiFiBerry DAC+ Zero work as an input or do I need to get something extra to allow me to input audio into the pi rather than output?

I am pushing the audio into my pi and then out to sonos devices (jackcast)

  You need a DAC+ ADC or DAC+ ADC Pro for this.

  Is it a software or a hardware problem? Is it perhaps possible in the meantime?

  It's not a "problem" at all, thie is just a DAC (Digital-to-Analog-Converter), for an input you need an ADC.
