Amp100 Fan

Hi:

I just received an Amp100 and have already ordered a second. Pleased with the product at this point in the testing process - thanks for a great build.

Two quick thoughts:

+ The cutout hole seems to be there to accommodate either a Pi heatsink or perhaps a fan (noting the screw holes). Assuming this is true, was the board designed with a specific fan in mind?

+ Just a very minor design observation which is that the capacitors get in the way of changing the SD card on the pi once the board is assembled, so if I need to flash the card for some reason, it would require unscrewing/unmounting the Pi first.

  We don't had a specific fan in mind, it's just a standard 25mm fan cutout.
  
  Yes, we know that the capacitor is in the way. However, as the main focus was audio quality, we wanted to leave the capacitor where it is to keep PCB traces as short as possible.

  Thanks. Assuming something like this would fit, which pins are the best to use to power the fan?

  Any other heat-sinking suggested?

  You can access the 5V from the Raspberry Pi on the DSP header. However, in most applications no fan is needed. We never use fans in our own installations.
