Power Supply Noise

Hi,

My third music stream is a Pi 3B+ with ADC Pro and AAmp60.  Power supply is Hifiberry 20V 4amp.  Very happy with it.  I can run my turntable in the analogue input and power a vintage set of Wharfdales'.  Very happy with HifiberryOS too.  Nice System.    

I have been noticing an annoying noise from speakers like a mosquito buzzing when all else is quiet.  It is still there when system is powered down.  Only stops when power supply is physically disconnected.  Just wondering if there is and work around for this?

  I would rather guess, that's noise form the connected turntable. Did you disconnect it?

  Thanks for your reply. Turntable was not connected during diagnosis.

  So, is this noise normal?  Is a power switch the only solution?

  Some noise is normal for every analog circuit. Unfortunately I can't say anything about your specific setup. We would need to test the board here to see if this is normal or not. Do you want to send it to us?

  Hi, thanks for your reply.  If some noise is normal then I will install a power switch.  It is very low level and not a problem when something is playing.
