I've set up a system for my brother, he is the audio nerd, I'm the computer nerd.
I have the following set up all working just fine:
Pi 4 + digi+pro +libreelec + Kodi
However, I can get all his music working apart from the 96/24 flac files. I know the digi+pro supports 96/24 as does Kodi, so I guess the issue is with libreElec?
Incidentally, I moved him away from Sonos as that couldn't cope with his 15,000 Albums, but that could not play 96/24 flac either

Are you sure the DAC supports this format?
I've just checked. It's plugged into a Marrantz SR 5200, which according to the manual here:

Says the following:
"96 kHz/ 24 bit decoding for highest possible fidelity and bandwidth,
and high-resolution playback of 96 kHz/ 24 bit PCM audio sources"
So it appears it should work
I'm going to borrow another person's DAC to see whether that is the issue
