I have an Amp2 and a RPi4 setup as a home announcement and alarm speaker and it had been working fine for almost a year but recently the sound has been skipping/repeating. In general I only use it to play short audio clips but even with those the first half second of the audio clip will just play repeatedly, far longer than the actual length of the clip. Sometimes, after repeating for a bit, it will finally play the whole clip correctly but not always.
I don't know if these messages were present in dmesg before, but I noticed that it posts this about 6 times during startup:
snd-rpi-hifiberry-dacplus soc:sound: ASoC: failed to init link HiFiBerry DAC+: -517
Before eventually saying:
snd-rpi-hifiberry-dacplus soc:sound: pcm512x-hifi <-> fe203000.i2s mapping ok
Also, after each attempt to play a clip with omxplayer it will post this:
pcm512x 1-004d: No SCLK, using BCLK: -2
I am not a very knowledge when it comes to audio-related stuff so I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting. Does anyone know what the issue might be or having any tips for narrowing down the cause?
