Use Loopback as Audio output

Hi,

i want to do some FFT on the "real-time" audio stream. As far as I'm understanding the whole topic I have to use a loopback device to grab the audio stream with python. Can anyone give me some guidance how to make hifiberry-os use the Loopback interface instead of the DAC2 Pro I'm using?

I'd really appreciate some pointers in the right direction since I don't get anywhere with googling and config file scavenger hunts ;)

Setup: HifiberryOS on Rpi4 w/ DAC2 Pro

HiFiBerryOS is definitely not the right distribution to do this. You would have to completely re-write the asound.conf which might break other stuff on HBOS. Future upgrades might also simply overwrite your changes.
