Initial volume at 83%

Hello,

First of all, I would like to thank you for this great piece of software.

For a few days, however, I experienced an issue with the initial volume. Whenever I try to play a song on Spotify, the initial volume is set on 83% (according to amixer). I can perfectly adjust the volume with the slider (through the Spotify app and on hifiberry.local) but so far I have not managed to set the volume at 100% once an for all.

I tried adding "initial_volume = 100" to the spotifyd.conf. I tried the command "amixer set Digital 100%" and "alsactl store". All to no avail. The volume always comes back to 83%.

What can I do to have this fixed?

  You have to change etc/vollibrespot.conf

  In my case Spotify always started at 50% which is waaaay to loud when after 22:00. I always takes me by surprise :p. So thanks for this (older) post so I knew where to look!

  Will now replace my volume to 10 on all my hifiberries regardless of what their initial volume was with:

  sed -i -r 's/initial-volume = [0-9]+/initial-volume = 10/g' /etc/vollibrespot.conf

   

  Any idea if this setting is or can be made persistent regardless of future HiFiBerry OS updates?
