I have a DAC+ and hifiberryos running on a Raspi 4.
I would like to switch off TOSLINK output in case no music is playing (maybe with a delay timer). I need to switch off TOSLINK in order to use the "auto-power-off" feature of my connected speakers.
Actually the TOSLINK is always on and the speakers never power down.
I have seen a similar post from 2015 (I believe). But this was based on older os and I did not find the appropriate folders and files to config.
I guess you're talking about a DAC+ DSP as this is the only DAC with a TOSLink output. The DSP profile provided by us does not support any switching on the TOSLink output. You would have to create your own DSP profile for this.

SigmaStudio can be challenging from time to time :( You also need to read the data sheet of the ADAU1451 to understand what registers to write to for specific functions (e.g. turning TOSLink off).
