Hifiberry DAC+ no sound

Hi, 

there is no sound on the raspberry PI4 with a connected HifiBerry DAC + RCA . Also, YouTube videos will not be loaded. If I turn off the tab in settings, YouTube works. When I play music / video, the green LED lights up, but there is no sound.

Please, give me an advice.

  Did I understand the post in the other thread right that exactly the same setup with exactly the same software was running fine on a Pi3?
  In this case, it might be a hardware problem of the Pi.

  Check that the board is plugged in correctly (try plugging/unplugging)

  HifiBerry originally worked with RPI3 with an older version of Raspbian OS. Everything there worked without any problems, I didn't have to set anything. Now I got RPI4 but no drivers were loaded during system installation. According to the instructions, I set the drivers in config.txt.

  force_eeprom_read=0

  I tried to disconnect / connect Raspberry with HifiBerry several times, this didn't help.

  Can you test with the image from your Pi3? This could help identifying if it's a hardware or software issue. It looks a bit like a hardware problem of the Pi, but using the image that was working will help to understand this.

  With Raspbian from the previous RPI3, the whole system freezes at startup. But instead I tried to install the latest LibreELEC on the card and the sound card works right at the first start, the sound is OK.
  When I run Raspbian, the card is back in trouble.

  You might try an older Raspberry Pi OS release

  I downloaded and installed Linux version raspberrypi 4.19.97-v7l + # 1294.

  Everything works from the first start of the system, HifiBerry works perfectly again. It's a really great product.

  Can any solution be expected in the future?

  A solution can be expected. However, if this is a pulseaudio issue, the Raspberry Pi foundation has to fix this as they are managing this. We can make sure that the drivers work well. It seems, other users have it running. Therefore, it might be an issue in your specific setup. It might be a good idea to post this in the Raspberry Pi forum to see if other users have similar problems
