Hi

I have assembled a

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B ARM 1GB

and

HiFiBerry “DAC+Pro with GPIO Pins”

with

latetst HifiberryOS

Connected Hifiberry via RCA to Yamaha RX-V450 (input CD with RCA)

I can connect to Hifiberry via Wifi through Spotify and it uses the output hifiberry.

I get no sound (input works with direct cable to phone though)

I have not changed anything in HifiberryOS

What am I missing?

  What is a "DAC+Pro with GPIO Pins”? What sound card is shown in the Diagnostics screen?

  I'm new to this - where in the debug.zip do i have to look?

  No need for a debug.zip, just check the sound card in the Diagnostics menu (General/System tools)

  Another couple of observations:
  - Checked the Headphone jack - no sound.
  - Spotify sends data to the Hifiberry for a couple of seconds and then breaks off

  Ok, looks like a problem with Spotify. Try another source (e.g. Radio).

  Yes, radio works. Any ideas in which direction i should look now - android or spotify?

  Hard to say. You can login and check the output of
  
  systemctl status spotify
  journalctl -f -u spotify

  Solved. The experimental equalizer was enabled.  see also this Thread
