Hello,
I have a couple of sources from which I would like to run audio through the HiFiBerry Amp. I have a Hisense tv, Apple TV and an Xbox, is it possible to get audio from these devices to the HiFi Berry via an HDMI switcher?

Unfortunately no. The Pi doesn't have an HDMI audio input.
The best way to do this is probably the Beocreate 4 channel amplifier connected to an SPDIF output of your TV. However, you need to make sure that your TV can output plain stereo as the Beocreate can't decode DTS or Dolby Digital.
Hello,
I'm not entirely sure about your setup, but there are devices called "HDMI Audio Extractor". These devices extract the audio signal from the HDMI signal. Some of them can also convert from surround sound to stereo sound. Maybe this can be a starting point for your solution.
While it might work, these devices often have very high jitter as they don't post-process the digital audio stream well enough. This sometimes creates problems. However, most TVs have an SPDIF output already. As all HDMI devices are connected to the TV anyway, this should also be cheaper than using external HDMI extractors.
Stereo would be fine for my purposes but not sure I want to spend a lot more money on another amp! Is there no other way to get audio into a RPi?
The Pi doesn't have any audio inputs.
OK, thanks for your help!
