Hi there i have a NAs326 by Zyxel and i have followed all the steps to connect it and it keeps saying unavailable. i added it manually and it can see it and then i goes to update library and nothing. It tries to update the library but still says the NAS is unavailable...
I have checked about SSH but i am not that experienced to start learning how to enter code into the SSH...
Am i doing something wrong here?

i have vlc which can see the hifiberry but not connect to it. I just want to be able to select my songs on the hifiberry through my phone as as an option...
There is no VLC on HiFiBerryOS. You can connect to HiFiBerryOS just with a web browser. Just connect to the IP address of the system with the web browser on your phone - as you do it from your PC. HiFiBerryOS has nothing to do with RuneAudio.

Android is missing the required functions for name resolution. You need to use the IP address on your android phone.
no it is working now thanks very much. HOwever, I can see the music on hifi berry os but not all the music files are there. One artist has only 1 album on it though i know there are supposed to be 4 other albums there...
My best guess is that your files are not tagged correctly. Check the tagging of all files using tools like MP3Tag. HiFiBerryOS won't handle any files that are not tagged.

Hello guys, I have the same problem. I installed HiFiBerryOS on a Pi3 and Pi4 and I have the same problem on both. I try to add my NAS(Synology) music library in MPD, it can see the NAS but is unavailable. I tried to add the NAS with ADD OTHER SERVER too with no result. I really like HiFiBerryOS but if I cant listen my music is no good to me. I have a HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro XLR. Can you give me a step by step on how to add my Synology music library that works? thanks in advance
What HiFiBerryOS version are you using? Please check under General/Software update and make sure you're running the latest 20201101 release.

Ok, my guess is that your NAS might not support the latest SMB version. Please do the following:
1. login via ssh
2. run the command
Then post the output of this command
(note that you might see the password in the output, remove this (or just replace it by something else)
On moOde, volumio and runeaudio works fine
Hmm, something in the mount doesn't look right. What does your /etc/smbmounts.conf file look like?
Ok, I see the problem. Your share name has spaces and a + sign in it. This can create problems with our tool set. Can you rename the share and remove these characters?
I've erased the space and rename the folder to FLAC and same thing happened, raga (NAS-music/FLAC - Unavailable). any other ideas?

/opt/hifiberry/bin/mount-smb.s
And also post the new content of
/etc/smbmounts.conf
Ok, you NAS might not support the latest SMB dialect. Try adding
;vers=1.0
into the smbmounts.conf file after the password
