Is there any way this can be done?

I want dual boot Libreelec and HifiBerryOS.

 

Someone did that? Is it even possible?

  No, it's not possible. HiFiBerryOS has to manage the whole SD card. It can't coexist with other software on the same SD card

  Buy two microSD cards and swap to boot the other O/S. :-)
