MiniAmp+Yocto devicetree handling and audio too loud

I got the device running on my yocto/rpi-miniamp configuration by this:

mkdir -p /sys/kernel/config/device-tree/overlays/berry
cat /my/dtbo/hifiberry-dac.dtbo > /sys/kernel/config/device-tree/overlays/berry/dtbo

+ webside information (no /boot/config.txt action)

outcome is ok:

# aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: vc4hdmi [vc4-hdmi], device 0: MAI PCM vc4-hdmi-hifi-0 [MAI PCM vc4-hdmi-hifi-0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: sndrpihifiberry [snd_rpi_hifiberry_dac], device 0: HifiBerry DAC HiFi pcm5102a-hifi-0 [HifiBerry DAC HiFi pcm5102a-hifi-0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

audio plays fine (but too loud)

Thing is: The hifiberry-dac.dtbo is shipped with the image (added on recipe creation by someone, so thanks for that to that one), however, I manually copy the device tree, as I cannot find it on the image, when it's started.

So, I guess, this is much easier to do, right! But how?

Second thing: The sound is to loud. I found a post here about using amixer. However, amixer is not giving any information at all (in my yocto configuration) and does not help me in my configuration.

I am not really a freak on linux audio systems, but would like to have audio.

Any help would be wonderful!
