Hi, I just got my Hifiberry Digi yesterday, I had a pi3 with Hifiberry OS already working via wifi and connected to my squeezebox server. I have connected the Digi and plug it to my 5.1 system using the spdif output. The signal is very low and I cant barely hear any sound coming out. Do I have to configure anything else? I dont seem to find any digi related options on the web interface. Many thanks!

David C. Snyder I have lent my Digi+ Pro to a friend, so I can't test now. Does the Web UI have a volume control? If so, make sure that's set to maximum. You could also try logging in (via SSH) and using the "alsamixer" utility to make sure that the volume is set to maximum (100%). I believe the username is "root" and password is "hifiberry".

Javi Thanks, I finally got it working, problem was that I plug in the digi+ to the pi after first installation, it seems that hifiberryos auto-detects the connected hat on the first boot. At the moment I'm having trouble with the volume control on the hifiberryos web interface, it is always down even when I click and drag it, airplay from my phone works fine and I can adjust the volume from the phone app UI

David C. Snyder Glad to hear that you can control volume just fine over AirPlay from your phone. Odd that it's not working from the HiFiBerryOS webUI. Actually, I would have expected the webUI to pin the Digi+ volume at 100%. Usually for S/PDIF devices, we don't want to digitally attenuate the volume since that will decimate the signal, resulting in a loss of resolution (bits). The Allo DigiOne I'm using at the moment does not even expose a volume control to the Linux driver. :)
