Hello,
what does happen, if i mount an AMP2 on a Raspi 4.
Then do a beocreate on the AMP2 and program dsp.
Does it works?
No, you can't use multiple sound cards on the same Pi. Also note that the audio interface to the Pi itself is always 2-channel only.
Why that doesn't works?
I know that raspi+amp2+beocreate not the official way is.
I use the i2s port , set master/slave & Clock in sigmastudio.
The AMP2 has an 40PIN GPIO Input and Output, so i can connect it togehter (with an 40pol wire) Raspi -> 40Pol -> Amp2 -> 40Pol -> beocreate.)
two different streams are enough for me.
I would like to know if raspi+amp2+beocreate is theoretically possible, as long as I can program well.
"Theoretically" a lot is possible. The electrical connection alone is already a problem. None on the devices is designed to be connected by cables. And that's just the first of a lot of things that can go wrong here. Why don't you want to use two Pi's?
I don't like to admin two systems.
1. electric
I have seen that beocreate and AMP use the same Pins except mute gpio 4.
AMP2:
beocreate (relevant Pins / Stacking)
That means:
Who is the Problem with electrical connection? I use 10cm cables. As far i can see Nothing like shortcircuit schould happen if i connect raspi with amp2 and amp2 with Beo.
Or would you advice to connect raspi with Beo and Beo with amp2? On this way i have only to connect 6 wires from amp2 to Beo. The amp2 get external Energy. In the first way the amp2 get Energy from Beo.
I know your boards are not desing to stacking, but please help me dont bricking my devices.
I share all data, projects and informations if it works.
I would not advise this at all. I strongly advise against this! There is a good chance that you will damage something with this. This is not what the products are designed for and there is strictly no support from us for this.
I know that this might not be what you are looking for, but we have seen too many customers damaging boards with all kinds of experiments. If you're an electrical engineer experiences with digital audio and with the necessary equipment, there is a chance that you might get it running, otherwise - again - I strongly advise against this.
Your Right, it's not what i want to read. But i know, why do you say this.
Yes, i am working as elec..ingeneur, but more to build houses. But my knowledge and should with your help enogh.
I ask a few Questions and i hope you can give me a answer without guarantee. If the answers good i dont want do stack, but if I see a Chance I will do it.
1) are the headers looped through 1: 1 on the amp2? ("input-Header"/female and "output-header/male" to stacking)
1.1) the beocreate is not looped 1:1, i saw only 36 Pins.
2) would the Beo and amp brick, if they conncted via. PIN3/5/12/35/38/40)?
2.1) what would happen by connecting amp2 and Beo with an 40pol connect wire.
2.2) If it get brick, why?
3) i think that one soruce of power arent't good for raspi/amp2/beo. At first i want to make this:
Raspi -> 40pol connect wire -> amp2 -> 40pol connect wire beocreate.
But now i think it schould bring less Problems, if I make this:
raspi -> 40pol connect wire -> beocreate -> connect wire but only use PIN3/5/12/35/38/40 -> amp2 with external energysource.
Please tell me all that you know, i really love to do such hard projekts on my own!!
I'm sorry, but I really have to stop here. Again: This is not how it's designed to be used and we can't support this. I wrote multiple times that I strongly advise against this, but you keep pushing me to tell you more how to get this running. The whole thing isn't designed to be used like this.
I understand that is now support given for my Project.
But i dont understand, why you dont want to give any informations (Information is not support) About my Project with the big advice that it could brick my Hardware.
You dont have to loose anything, you have only to win cause if the stacking is possible with (hacks) it seems the cheapest multiroomsystem. That means less then 300€ for an sixway System, 450€ for an 12way System[with the Limitation to use only two Audiostreams)
You can create an "Modding Board without guarantee" for such freaky modders like me. Support from manufacturer (for modding) is an important part to come bigger as Commercial.
Please tell me what you know. I KNOW IT COULD BRICK MY DEVICE!!!!
