just installed HiFiBerryOS version 20200727 but I cannot connect it to my NAS.
In MPD setting page the NAS is detected, I can:

Furhter update:
After successful manual mount it takes a lot of time to scan the library. At the end nothing appears under sources music. I have tried a rescan from the UI: same result. I have also tried to add a USB SSD with some music files: the os recognizes it but no results in the sources music.
Further: the os does not recognize correctly the DAC so I had to hack it as explained here: https://github.com/hifiberry/hifiberry-os/blob/master/doc/hacks.md
Overall impression is that the os is unstable: I have reflashed it several times to restart from a clean configuration but every time the behaviour changes, for example in one occasion I was able to mount the share from the UI and in another occasion the DAC was correctly recognized.
In another occasion I was able to see some covers in the source music but after enabling the wireless connection properly switch off and switch on again in the livingroom everithing disappeared.
So I'm now stuck. Any ideas?

Starting from a new installation every time doesn't really help. What DAC+ model are you using? What's not working now?

This looks like a corrupted SD card. What type and size is this? Is it a new card?

For 2 and 3 I got exactly the same behavior:
First boot -> it wrongly recognize the DAC as DAC +0/Light/Miniamp

From what I see here, /data is fine, but your NAS isn't mounted. Let's see if we can find what's wrong with this.

Ok, I guess, I see the problem here. For some reason, it tries to use IPv6 which does not seem to work. What type of NAS is this that you're using?
Try replacing the SSMND1062Cloud.local in /etc/smbmounts.conf by the IP address of your NAS.

I've changed the address with the IP. Everything looked fine until I had the idea to try the Equalizer and this caused a complete hang of the device.
To make a long story short I had to re-flash the card. It started yesterday afternoon to update the library. I switched it off and this morning it continue the updating. Now it seems ok. The covers are visible in sources music.
The DAC is still recognized as DAC+ Zero, Lignt, MiniAmp. How do I make it recognized?
I will do some more tests today and let you know.
One more question: is there a way to browse the library by directory structure avoiding the metadata?

I don't understand why enable the equalizer would let the device hang. That's a bit strange.
The HiFiBerryOS UI doesn't provide any "folder" browser. You cna use ympd for this:
systemctl enable --now ympd
Then point your web browser to port 9000
BTW: I recommend to upgrade to 20200805 as this had some bug fixes integrated already.
