Many Greetings,

I have two questions:

a) I connected the official RPi-Touchscreen and it works out of the box - but I wanted to rotate it (180 degrees) and managed this with the line "display_rotate=2" in /boot/config.txt. My touchdisplay is now turned, but the touch-input aren´t - meens if I want to use a option in the upper left corner I have to touch the lower right corner and vice versa. How to fix this?

b) After powering off the backlight of the touchscreen isn´t completly off - is there an option to turn the screen fully off?

  You need to use "lcd_rotate" instead of "display_rotate".

  I'm not aware of any way to turn off the backlight.

  Thank you for the correct rotate option for config.txt.

  I found a (for me suitable) solution for the backlight problem: on hifiberryos Terminal I use the command
  "echo 0 > /sys/class/backlight/rpi_backlight/bl_power" to show the screen and
  "echo 1 > /sys/class/backlight/rpi_backlight/bl_power" to switch off the screen.

  Hi

  My 7" screen (waveshare hdmi/usb touchscreen) works with display_rotate=2 (lcd_rotate does nothing for me)

  Touchscreen is still not rotated

  You need to use the official touchscreen to support lcd_rotate.

  Hello,

   

  I have connected an 3.5" DSI display which I want to rotate by  180°. Unfortunately I get a message 'File "config.txt" is unwritable' if I open it with the editor 'nano'.

  What am I doing wrong?

  Okay, I found the solution. I used

   

  mount -o remount,rw /boot

  The issue I have is that the display is not rotated as expected:

  display_rotate=2

   does not change the rotation even if the manufacturer states this in the documentation (https://osoyoo.com/2020/05/29/instruction-for-raspberry-pi-3-5-dsi-touch-screen/#5.2 ).

  Any help is appreciated.

  I am using the latest (Nov 20 version) of Hifiberryos on a Pi 3A+ and an official 7 inch touchscreen.  Booted nicely without altering the config.txt file, with the exception that it was upside down.  Otherwise working and booting as expected for several sessions.  But after adding lcd_rotate=2 to the config.txt file, to correct the orientation, the boot process would take me to a login screen on the touch screen.  (correct axis orientation ). 

  Reversing my edits still brings me to the prompt screen (incorrect axis orientation at prompt) on display.  Web browser is fine.  Any idea why it boots to login prompt on the touchscreen only?

  You probably disabled the local UI in the settings (General/Display)

  thanks for prompt response.  no, I just commented out the line I inserted in the config file.  There are no options to disable the UI  in General / Display for me:

  Ok, I didn't think about the 3A+. As the 3A+ only has 512MB RAM, local UI won't run on this. You need a Pi with 1GB RAM (or more)
