I replaced a DAC+ Pro with the DAC2 HD on RPi4 a couple of days ago. I've noticed pops or clicks between some tracks. I did not notice these with the DAC+ Pro.
I'm running HifiBerryOS and using it as a Roon endpoint. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I just ordered a DAC2 HD from PiShop.us yesterday…hoping it will arrive in a week or so. I'll be using it with Roon as well, so I'll let you know if I experience similar problems. It should certainly work with HiFiBerryOS without issues, assuming you have a good power supply.
I'm more of a tinkerer, so I plan to run Arch Linux ARM on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B or B+ for this build. Later kernel (5.4.51-2-ARCH), so it should be interesting.
I also have this problem. Have been working with Roon support, and it looks like they are going to place the blame on my DAC2 HD. How to get this to stop... that is the question. Here's the Roon support link: Clicking and Popping before a track plays - sometimes - Support - Roon Labs Community
My DAC2 HD is a "hat" for my Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8GB.
