SPDIF output to sub

I am using the DAC+DSP board like this: Analog out goes to a NAD amplifier that powers my broadband speakers (> 100Hz), SPDIF out goes to the input of my active subwoofer (that has its own DAC and connected amplifier).

Basically works up to this point, but I can only use the crossover function (speaker equalizer) for creating a high pass for the analog out. I would like to create a low pass for the SPDIF out, and also i would like to balance out its volume (make it a bit louder).

Has anyone created or adjusted a DSP program in a way that allows filtering and adjusting volume for the SPDIF output?

Or any other suggestions on how I can achieve this without creating a custom DSP program?
