12 ohm speakers

I'm retrofitting an old cambridge soundworks stereo radio. This thing had great sound for its size, but the controls have failed.

My plan is to use amp2 to  power the existing speakers. Unfortunately the speakers are 12 ohms. I understand V=IR, and that more R means less current. And that the loudness from the speaker has as much to do with efficiency of the driver as it does nominal resistance.

My questions are:

  • will the higher impedance have any negative impact on the performance of the amp?
  • will the higher impedance have any negative impact on the audio quality?
  • what would be the best input voltage to deliver adequate output to these speakers?
  • what is the minimum advised input power for this setup?

Thanks for any help from the hifiberry team and the community. Also, I pledge to document and publish the results of this project.
