I'm new to both to the rPi platform and to the HiFiBerry DAC+. I've gotten the hardware to work brilliantly using piCorePlayer, but given the other services I need to have running, I'd prefer to be using Ubuntu 20.04.
Can anyone give me any pointer as to where to begin so that ubuntu recognizes the presence of the DAC+? The generic "Configuring Linux 4.X Or Higher" instructions aren't much help.
With this distro:
- /boot/firmware/overlays/hifiberry-dacplus.dtbo is present.
- But there is no /etc/boot/config.txt file.
About the only thing journalctl --boot emits that's helpful is:
kernel: snd-rpi-hifiberry-dacplus soc:sound: ASoC: failed to init link HiFiBerry DAC+: -517
