USB bluetooth key

Hi, 

 

Got the HifiberryOS on my Pi4B with the DAC+ Pro XLR running but struggled a lot to get bluetooth working.

Turns out the the case (using the Hifiberry metal case for the XLR connectors) is blocking the bluetooth too much so I can´t use this feature (confirmed with Raspbian/Volumio > no bluetooth possible).

 

Is it possible to connect a compatible bluetooth USB adapter for better reception?

Don´t really want to start making big cutouts into the metal case and without it the connectors are really quity floppy.

  Today, HiFiBerryOS doesn't support external BT sticks. We might look into this in the future, but I have to say that this hasn't the highest priority. In most cases there are better options than BT. What are you streaming via Bluetooth?

  Thanks for the quick reply.

  Really I just want a quick and simple way to stream sound (youtube/internet radio,recorded video etc) from my phone, or a visitors phone, in good quality to my sound system.

  Possible also use my Windows PC to connect the Hifiberry to it as a bluetooth speaker.

  Bluetooth seems to be a good option as its well implemented into any phone/pc, just wish it were lossless...

  If there were a similar easy option to do this via network it would do to but DLNA is not an option.
