I don't yet have a DAC hat, but I am trying to test the OS. Is there a way to configure it to play through the standard headphone jack that comes with the Raspberry Pi? I am using a model 3.

HiFiBerry team No, there isn't. The sound quality is just poor, we don't support this. HiFiBerryOS is designed to work with our sound cards, not the onboard sound. You can test the functionality, but you won't get any sound output.

Austin Felton Thom we used this as a solution instead: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KNNSKV0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1L1WUWYKZGTBQ&psc=1

HiFiBerry team This definitely isn't a solution as you would still require a HiFiBerry Digi+.

Thom HiFiBerry team Does the DLNA functionality work? I couldn't see any of my servers. Due to the headphone jack issue, I used Volumio to test streaming and the DLNA servers such as Plex showed up and I was able to stream from them. I am interested in using the DSP type of HiFiBerry hats with a RPi.

HiFiBerry team Yes, it is working. It would not make sense to integrate something we knopw isn't working. It is experimental, which means there might still be problems that we're not aware of.
However, you won't "see" any server as this is just a DLNA renderer, NOT a DLNA control point. To control DLNA playback, you need a DLNA control point.
