Raspberry Pi B, 1st Generation + Hifiberry DAC and original Touchscreen

Hello,

since years I am using a Raspberry Pi B, 1st Generation (no +, no 2,3 or 4!!!) with the associated Hifiberry DAC. The system works like a charm and makes no issues. Now I would like to connect the original Raspberry Touch Display to this system and according to this page I have to connect the display with the SCL/SDA ports of my mainboard.

As I know, the Hifiberry DAC also makes use of the I2C-bus, so will it work to connect the Hifiberry DAC and the touch display to the SCL/SDA ports?

  The first generation HiFiBerry DAC (without the +) doesn't use I2C, it only uses the P5 header.

  Thanks a lot for this information!

  I soldered the power- and I2C-cables at the bottom of the header and connected the display. Everything works perfectly!
